I never set out to write a book.
When The Airport Guy journey began, the mission was simple, make aviation more visible, more relatable, and more accessible to the next generation. I wanted young people, especially those from backgrounds like mine, to look at the aviation industry and think, that world is for me too.
What started as short videos on social media turned into something I never expected. Messages from parents, teachers, and kids who had discovered a passion for aviation through the content. Young people telling me they had walked into an airport and finally understood what was happening around them. Families using my videos to prepare their children for their first flight. It became clear that the appetite for this kind of storytelling was real, and it was growing.
That is where Airport Adventure was born.
Writing this book was one of the most meaningful things I have ever done. I wanted to create something that did not just entertain, but genuinely opened a door for a child. A door into the world of aviation, into curiosity, into possibility. Every page was written with that child in mind, the one who presses their face against the airport window and wants to know everything. Where does the luggage go? How does the plane stay in the sky? Who is in that control tower?
Airport Adventure answers every one of those questions, and then some. Published by DK, one of the most respected names in children's publishing, and illustrated beautifully to bring every corner of the airport to life, it follows a family on their journey from check-in to arrivals, with me, as their guide behind the scenes.
It is for the curious. The dreamers. The future engineers, pilots, air traffic controllers, and ground crew who just do not know it yet.
